Nuclear Medicine Applications provides technical controls, versioning, auditability, and constrained workflows. It does not claim that a supplied protocol has been clinically validated for a particular department.
Department responsibility
Before operational deployment, each calculation protocol, isotope assumption, dose factor, half-life, acceptable variance, warning threshold, and workflow must be reviewed and approved through the department’s normal governance process.
Versioned server configuration
Protocol values are held in the private database and can be changed only by an administrator. Each change increments the protocol version and creates an audit record. Existing calculation events retain the version used at the time.
Verification and professional judgement
Results are calculation aids. Users remain responsible for checking inputs, units, protocol applicability, warnings, and the final operational action through approved local procedures.
Data minimisation
The application does not require patient names or patient identifiers. Departments should configure working practices that prevent unnecessary identifiable information from being entered into free-text fields.
